Hi,

need to install medicine cabinet in bathroom so will need to drill through tile and fit a wall plug. However not sure which plug to use. Any advice? Ideally want to avoid drilling a big hole so don’t want to use spring toggle. Thanks.

Fischer SX 6mm plugs are fine......no hammer action on the drill until you have scored through the tile glaze though! Use your drill at low speed for this.
It does no harm to drill a smaller hole first as a pilot.

Is the wall behind solid brick or block or a stud wall? If the latter, a nylon plug through tile and plasterboard can work, but if the cabinet is heavy, a plasterboard toggle fixing might be more appropriate.

Blup
