I wish now I had not got rid of the old copies of the regs. In 1970 I remember electricians complaining about the earth requirements as it would seem they could no longer use metal conduit as an earth. That would have been 14th Edition. Also there was a big thing where anything metal was earthed like metal window frames.
However the regs only became BS7671 in 1992 so when it refers to previous edition of BS7671 then it only goes back to 1992.
