HI,
Would someone be able to tell me out of softwood, hardwood and maufactured wood which one is the cheapest and which one would be more efficient to use?

For storing ??????

If its clothes you would be able to get away with some sort of softwood. If its kids toys then softwood wouldn't be the right wood. Get the picture yet, yee of few words

As You`re in AUS...it depends on where your wood comes from as to hardwood or softwood pricewise:( Here in UK we love chipboard and MDF. for DIY. And I know it`s winter there :)

well the chest has to be strong enough to hold kids standing on it.
We have MDF and chipboard here in australia.
Out of chipboard and MDF which one would be stronger?

I believe MDF would be stronger (and would probably use 18mm,though it can be rather heavy)
