Hi,

I have an old (10 - 15 years at a guess) whirlpool AKG 666 inbuilt oven, the bulb has just gone, but looking at the bulb I have no idea whether it's a 15 watt bulb or a 25 watt bulb, it does not say anywhere on the bulb?

The instructions are long gone, they did not come with the house and I'm lucky to find just 1 picture on google of my model of oven.

Anyone know whether it will do any harm if I fit a new 25 watt bulb over a 15?? I guess it should be brighter, I cannot believe 10 watts will make a great deal of difference, what is the general thought on this?

Regards

Paul

It is safe enough to use the higher wattage bulb. The only danger is it may have a shorter life than a 15 watt.
