Dishwasher not completing cycle,select full wash cycle it does first rinse,then main wash, then hot rinse,then continually beeps,start light is flashing continually and the rinse light is lit.Can anyone help,thankyou.

How old is the machine? There will a 12 digit number beginnin 85 which will identify the machine.
Hello sleepyhead,12digit number is 8542 347 15510.The machine would be 2002.Thanks. 
What do you reckon sleepyhead,is it for the scrapheap?The wife's nipping at me to repair or buy new!
