Whirlpool Freezer problem

Hi there,
I've a problem with my Whirlpool Easytronic freezer (AFG 378/G ?).
Last week the lights went out on the control panel (LED, on /off, temp. control etc.) but the freezer is still working.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

I have the same freezer and same problem, have used it for three years like it but want to get it fixed.
Have you had your one fixed, if so, what was the problem and cost?
