I have one of the american style fridge freezers with the automatic ice maker. The problem I have had for a while now is that when the tray tips to empty the ice cubes it doesnt empty properly and leaves parts of ice cubes stuck in.
This then refills for the next batch and gradually with each one becomes more and more until I think it starts to overflow into the ice box when refilling as there is not enough room in the tray for the water.
I have taken the tray out and tried cleaning it and even put descaler in it as the surface in places seemed a bit rough so I thought this could be causing the ice cubes to stick in. But the problem returns.
Why has this happened? Do I need to replace the tray?
