White Knight drier problem

I have a White Knight drier ( CL787) which was working fine until the belt snapped. I replaced the belt and now the drier runs for approx 1 min and then cuts out. The fuse is ok and if i press the start button again it does the same cycle and cuts out again. I didn't touch any electrics whilst doing the belt and was careful not to touch the circuit board. The brush that runs on the drum band did pop out but i pushed this back in and it seems to make contact with the connector at one end of the spring and is spring loaded onto the drum.

Any idea's why it would have started cutting out ?
