got a new build house i'm doing the down stairs is fairly open plan i'm wiring the ring main from the floor. concrete sub floor then thick hard foam insulating with the silver foil on it then a inch of screed than a wooden floor!

my original plan was to run 20mm conduit on the sub floor and wire in singles. but i don't have room to get past the dpc so my new plan is to run it in high tuff. will that be allright? any advice on cable size? thanks fellas!

If cable selection is a stumbling block to you, you should not be attempting a new build.

You have to consider your method of installation- being in contact with isulation on one side, it will be 15. This will cut the CCC of the cable down greatly, thus increasing csa.

No offence, but do you know what you're doing?
