The most common change would be to operate the boiler on a lower water temperature during the warmer parts of the heating season. The rads should already be sized for the coolest party of the season so any warmer days would be ok.I also rather doubt that, without extensive changes to my (also extensive) CH system, a condensing boiler would be significant more efficient than a non-condensing one.
With a condensing boiler you would generally size them for a cooler water temperature and still be big enough for mid winter. Clearly that's easier in a well insulated house than an old castle
