My Suprima 60 boiler located in the ground floor kitchen has a cut off switch on it that kicks in if the boiler is close to overheating. When the thermostat is set on the tank in the upstairs bathroom to 40c - no problems, however when I turn the thermostat up to 50c to get hotter water in the tank he cut off switch kicks in and turns the boiler off totally. It came on tonight at 5.30pm as per the evening programme and cut out again at 6pm - there are no numbers on the dial just dots in increasing sizes and I had it set on the 4th smallest of the 14 dots - what's wrong with it? why does it keeps cutting out after 3 years of working perfectly? and why on the evening run and not the morning program (5.30am - 7am)?

Yes, its probably the PCB.

A more interesting question however is why do the pcbs on so many Suprimas fail after 2-3 years?
