Why does utube use more power than TV?

We have a 42 inch TV, I was bored so stuck the energy monitor on the supply, 40W approx to watch TV from satellite box HDMI connection and 58W when I press the Utube button and watch TV from an internet connection.

Now if my tablet used 18W to view internet TV I am sure it would not last long, the batteries would soon be flat, so why does a TV need so much extra power to view internet TV?

Probably processing power for the app, whereas the watching of TV is a programmed in sequence included within the general usage, the app will run on some form of interface (android?) which will require processing power as will the internet connection and the app its self, and power ratings probably don't apply to apps so they don't care about how much energy it uses etc
