Hello there.

I have a Lofra cooker, it’s only two years old but it’s started to trip the RCD (the house is wired to the 11th) when it gets to temperature and the thermostat clicks the element off.
In a way it’s handy because when the TV goes off, I know it's ready. But it’s not really practical.

We had the cooker tested by an electrician a few weeks ago. I wasn’t there when he did it, but his test kit couldn’t detect any fault.

I was wondering what springs to the minds of the professionals?

Thanks in advance,
Paul.

What output power has your cooker,
Normally find cookers on a separate circuit and if it's plug in usually confined to a kitchen circuit rather than( unless the TV is in the kitchen) a circuit that supplys front room etc..
RCDs will trip if excessive earth leakage. damp cables, loose connections, faulty appliances.
A build up of earth leakage can be caused if the socket circuit is feeding a number of electrical items.

Wired to the 11th :?:
