Why will no one say how much they pay for LPG? I don't mean car LPG. My contract has run up with BP and price is going up, I want to know what I should be paying?

The cost will depend on usage. Why not look through your bills and tell us your annual consumption and cost/litre.

Your option is to switch suppliers. In which case you'll be locked into a 36 month contract and they will install a new tank. Shell and Calor are the players in this area.

Without sounding obvious are you doing everything to reduce your consumption. Do you have a new AA rated gas boiler with full controls?

BTW oil is circa 45p/litre and oil boilers aren't anywhere near as efficient as a gas condensing boiler.

I want to know what people are paying for lpg per litter?

I have a Z efficent boiler, around 20 years old. I got a quote for a new one for £300 pounds and he said I should save £150 a year. I spent £900 last year. I work it out that payback for a new boiler is 20 years. Is it worth it? HELL NO.

Anyway Price per litter of LPG I am after

Wouldn't it be easier just to ring all your local suppliers and ask for a quote? Seems the easiest solution. What other people in other parts of the country buy at is irrelevant as you may not be able to buy at that price. If pay back time was the number one factor in deciding to change a boiler then very few boilers would be changed.

Well, what the hell is the number one reason to change boilers? Do we change for fun?

Have I hit a nerve, are you a gas man that recommends your customers to change a boiler every brake down?

about gas price, I'm sure the major suppliers deal nationwide and surely the charge all customers the same rate?

Condensing oil boilers are more efficicient than LPG, SE oil boilers are almost as efficient are LPG Condensers. Figure against NG is even better.

Nope when I was working and I asked different people what they were being charged all seemed to be on different rates and that was all in the same region.

You ask others what they are paying so why not start thread with what you are paying currently? My current price is now 48p litre.

I think I had an update a week or two ago.
I think it was aound 45p a litre if memory is right .
I am in the Doncaster area.

And you want people to answer you with an attitude like that!!
