I have accidentally scored (with the drill chuck) a live 10mm LPG pipe. I checked and there is NO LPG smell and I cannot hear any leaks. See attached pic with annotated area where scuff mark is. The black bit is NOT a hole just black score.
The LPG pipe is just used for a gas/electric cooker and is under a kitchen cabinet.
The 47kg LPG gas pipe is about 8m total starting at 15mm 7m copper (outside the property) then terminates to 10mm 1m long (inside the property).
If the 10mm pipe scuff cannot be repaired then I could drill a larger 20mm hole and fit a new 15mm pipe (from outside to inside) then connect up to the gas/electric cooker. The same 15mm copper pipe could then be T-eed (T'ed) off to run another 4m to the gas cooker in the lounge.
So my 2 options are
1) Repair the scuff. Maybe get a LPG/gas engineer to clean then put lead/solder?
2) Drill a 20mm hole (from inside to outside) and fit another 3m 15mm gas pipe then pay a LPG/gas engineer to connect up the new 15mm gas pipe tail?
Which one?
Advice please
