wickes bricklaying mortar

I noticed in Wickes that they do a premixed bricklaying mortar. Does anyone have any experience with this and is it workable for a single storey extension.

Will probably work out much more expensive than a jumbo bag of soft sand and half a doz bags of cement. It's convenient for little one-off and repair jobs but for an extension buy in bulk and get your shovel out!

have also never used it , but regularly use wickes soft building sand and find it great stuff for mortar , better than most merchants sand. Not sure if it is the same sand they sell for all areas though, ours is the red sand.

IT WILL BE SHYTE all so called mixes are because the sand they have to use to get a bone dry mix in a bag .......is wrong for bricklaying ....the idea is one of the worst ever concieved in the world of DIY
