Wickes Fence Panels - pre-treatment

Hi all,

I've just bought some of these (http://www.wickes.co.uk/overlap-fence-panel-18mx90cm-6x3ft/invt/540050/) and wondered if the pre-treatment is sound, or if I should apply another coat before slotting them into place?

I think you'll find the factory treatment somewhat minimal......much better to apply some more when you can!

They come with a 10 year anti rot guarantee, but i always re-treat when i get them. And treat every year.

I work at Wickes and I do tend to recommend you treat the fence panels around every year just like the previous poster said, it just helps them last longer and protects them a lot better.

Every year seems a bit excessive, maybe every 3-4 if it's a good staining preservative.
