Wickes alarm
When the alarm is unset if i open the front door the alarm starts to arm it self any ideas please

without looking at the manual for a specific model it be difficult to say.

are you sure its starting to set and not notifying you the door is open?

Yes def staring to set.
I lost the manual but its about 8 years old or so
Just started to do it yesterday & again this morning & not every time.
when i get home i will have a look at the back of the key pad to try & get the model

The fact it doesn't do it all the time is more worrying.
In that programming would have to change for it to change function.

Ie behaving as a keyswitch zone, rather than just an entry exit zone. (would have to change function and that is just not feasible off its own accord).

Some alarm panels when they down power start to set when powered back up. (more likely, so power failing and battery back failing possibly)

That would be my guess work without a manual infront of me.
