wierd damp problem.

had the boiler moved from the spare room to the loft.

what started as sraping off any loose paint ended up coming off like steamed wallpaper. so now its a bare plaster wall.

but for some reason around the area where the boiler was on the wall a random damp patch has appeared.

the only thing i can think of is the hole where the flue exited the house was left open for a couple of days but even so the patch is a good two feet below and on the internal wall not the external.

Perhaps the heat from the boiler was evaporating any moisture present in the wall.

Pics of the inside of the wall, and outside, might help.
 
hi mate sorry for the late reply.

ive plugged the gap where the flue from the boiler came out and ive had the room well vented since and it seems to be sorting itself out but its taking a few days to clear the wall.


ill try and get some pics up if it persists for the next few days.
