Moving into a listed house with lovely (not) crital windows. At the moment there is no heating other than fire places. Next door have the same set up but have a log burner. They suffer with condensation as we do. Will installing CH make any difference? Also thinking of installing a log burner, will that help or have a negative affect?

Big thanks

Hi condensation requires ventilation not heat, it forms on glass single glazing more because of the difference in inside/outside temperatures.
Dehumidifiers work well along with ventilation in combating the problem,

Double glazing would be a big help: but then again its listed :(

The problem is caused by the warmer inside air condensing on the glass which is cooled by the outside air. C H might even make it worse, because the warm inside air would be heated even more.
