Will compression fittings fit on 40mm push-fit waste pipe

Just wondering if 40mm compression fittings will fit on 40mm push-fit plastic pipe?

There was two types of pipe in wickes i could choose from.... 40mm solvent weld pipe or 40mm push-fit pipe.
