Will white spirit damage plastics?

I'd like to remove some paint specks that have fallen on an old radio. I think the paint must be oil based as it doesn't shift from using alcohol nor hot water. I reckon white spirit might do it but I'm not sure if it will damage the radio's plastic itself? Does anyone know if white spirit might damage this type of electronics plastic?
Any advice much appreciated.

White spirit will be useless for cured paint. May be plane it off with a utility knife blade carefully.
