Window close to corner wall advice

Afternoon all

I'm looking to put a new window into our our stairs (very dark), so were thinking of it being a long window frosted (allowed regs).

However the question / concern is as its a corner with a roof hip how close / far down do I need to go ?

Why not post a pic of the corner at the hip showing in outline the proposed position of the new frame?

Do you know if your hip is tied-in to the two wall plates at the corner - typically a "Dragon tie" is used?

It will need to be at least 665mm away from the external corner
