Window fan problem

I've just realised that my new window fan is not working in the kitchen. I recently rewired the kitchen and everything else works fine.

I have a switched FCU for the fan on the ring circuit, I then have a wire going from the load terminals to a connecting plate which is connected to the fan. Is this correct? Is there any way I can check if the fan itself is faulty?

Thanks

Should have really thought of that

I stuck a plug on and it looks like it is the fan that's faulty. Taking it back to the shop.
