Hi, Im installing a pvcu window frame in my house. Its a large window with 1 transom (300mm from the top) with and opening above. I cant get a screw fixing in the jambs above the transom as the opening window hinges are in the way. I will have 3 screw fixings on each jamb below transom and 3 screw fixings in the top and the sill.
Question is do I need a fixing in that top part or will the expanding foam do the job. The span from the top of frame to the first screw fixing on the jamb is about 450/500mm (150/200 mm below transom)
