Got a window that's stuck in ajar position. It's a key operated push button one. Can it be sorted by me without having to spend any money, because this is a rental property.

The handle moves from open to locked position without being able to open it or close it. If i am able to get it shut completely, i will be happy. If cost involved will contact the landlord.

2 screws

One screw under that square cover at the top of hinge and another screw can be seen if you place handle in the open position.

Need to take handle off to see what's bust.
Latch or handle or the rod not seating correctly. Sometimes the rod needs a blob of super glue to hold it in handle.

Sometimes handle guts are bust.

Or need a new latch similar to this as can't find image of correct one. Easy fit

Take the handle off, the spindle has either fallen out the back of the handle or worse the square drive within the mechanism that the spindle pushes through has disintegrated which means a new mechanism

Landlord got someone in to replace the mechanism. Thanks for your replies
