Window sills before or after plastering

do you mean the internal "window boards".

window boards are generally plastered in so they need to be fixed prior to plastering, though you can do the backing or dabbing first and just skim them in.

Thanks again noseall,

yes its the window boards, think i'll dot and dab first then, it should be easier, then attach the boards and get the plasterer to skim them in.

Cheers!

P.S. Noseall i could do with you being my personal advisor on my build as your a bag of knowledge!!!

a good tip.

if you are going to dab, then it pays to dab the horizontal area where the window board is going to sit. get it nice and level. you can then use some no-nails or sticks like s**t to stick the window board down, onto the plasterboard, avoiding any fixing holes in the window board. just make sure you fix the window board the next day. ;)
