We are building an extension, is it right that we cant use the existing window in the extension. It is only 5 years old. Do we have to buy a new one which is Kglass, I really cant see the point if all the other windows aren't K glass.

Use the frames and change the glass?
Or, if the frames look new, then the building control bloke is not going to bother whether the glass is K or not - most BCO's can't tell anyway.
Just try not to make it too obvious that the frames came out of the house
