Windscreen trim repair - What sealant to use?

Hi Guys,
Anyone happen to know which sealant would be best to use around the windscreen? My car is a Volvo V40 almost 10 years old. It had the windscreen replaced a long time ago.
There is a small piece of trim along the top edge of the windscreen & the roof that is slightly detached. It now whistles when the car goes above 50mph & does my head in. Any ideas. Thanks. PJ.

my guess is the window itself will be a bonded one so the trim is literally just trim and doesn't actually seal the window in any way, so that means it doesn't really matter what you use. All purpose silicone sealant should do the trick.
