I have the following transformer (pictured below) which is for an infrared touchless toilet flush system. It’s input power draw seems relatively low. I have a storage cupboard outside the bathroom with a fused spur that has supply but hasn’t got anything connected for the load. It was put there as part of the new-build back then for installing alarm system. I’m am thinking to take a wire from the load of this fused spur place into the loft and place this transformer in the loft and then that way it’s out of the bathroom.
My question is could I use 1mm2 wire from the fused spur load to this transformer? Since the transformer only uses very little power? And possibly put a much lower fuse in there to protect the max of the 1mm2 wire?
Thanks
