Just a wee question does a wireless shower like a triton 300si need to be protected with a rcd as all the electrics are in loft other than pull chord.Question was asked by my mate told him I didn't know but I might know a man who does hence the question.

no need to RCD protect the shower unit itself unless the manufacturer specifies though it would certainly be prudent to make sure the outlet pipe is securely earthed.

how is the remote control unit powered? I suspect it will be battery powered but if it is mains powered then it needs RCD protection.

Why are you going for this remote control shower in the first place? I strongly suspect that the longer output pipe will have a negative effect on performance and anything that involves batteries is generally a pain in terms of replacements.

Its not mines plugwash.I don't know how its powered just what he's told me took a look at there installation instructions think it must be battery. They recommend rcd but don't say must be used. I'll pass own your words of wisdom about performance.Cheers
