Are the TRV's which control individual radiators reliable?

Have parent moving in to a couple of rooms and need to be able to heat them independently of the rest of the ground floor.

Any brands looking better or worse than others - in your experience. As this is parent, I'm not too concerned with budget, more concerned about reliability.

Honeywell Evohome is the only way to go on this front.

Make sure that the installer is experienced. Or even better a specialist. Their website will help you find someone.

Wow, this stuff's pricey..... but have to keep the parent warm all day/night when the rest of the house needs no heat at all!

Thanks for the direction.

Serviced a guys boiler recently & he had the Danfoss kit on his system, it looked good, easy to fit & the guy said it saved him a fortune on gas.
He fitted it himself by the way & the brief look I had at the electrics it looked very easy to wire.
