Hi guys,

I am wiring a warm up xstat with 4 kits. Has anyone does this, that can offer instruction? Warm up is quite vague!

Look forward to your advise

How big are the 4 mats (in watts) and what is the total load the thermostat can support.

That'll be a good starting point.

Additionally, are all 4 mats going in the same room?

I have 4 loose wire kits all in the same room. They are4 x DWS800 RED, Amps Resistive Resistance (m) (@230 volts) 3.6

The back of the x-stat has 1 and 2 230VAC 50Hz, 3 and 4 Max load 3600W/16A and 5 as EXT

Warm up mentioned that 4 kits should not be wired directly into the back of the x-stat.

Also kw 0.800 per kit and it states "The heaters are joined in parallel only at the Thermostat or in a junction box.
Do not attach one heater to another in series."

Provide a double box at floor level below the XSTAT. Bring all the cold tails to there and join them up (in a choc block) Then run a single cable to the XSTAT.

EDIT
Why don't you RTFM. It tells you on pages 5 and 9 what to do with more than one mat.....

Simples

Your big issue is going to be the temperature probe. Where will that be, which mat will you choose to put the probe, will you use floor probe and air temperature features of the XSTAT.?
