Hi I have a ceiling light with flex containing two wires. I want to use this ceiling light as a table lamp. Can I do this and how should I treat the wires when wiring the plug. The wires are not coloured and so I am assuming that there is no earth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

will probably need securing tosomething if its a ceiling light. table lights are generaly weighted / balanced to stop from falling over
