wiring a manrose extractor fan with 1 neutral 1 permanent live terminal

I'm replacing an old ceiling fan with manrose standard 6" fan it only has 2 terminals. 1 neutral, 1 permanent live. I have got an extra wire 1 neutral / 1permanent live / 1 switched live.
It works of a wall switch. What to do ?

Put the pearmeant live in a spare connection block. Use the other wires

Why not use the switched live and fit a fan with timer?
