Hello,

I have had an electrician (the original electrician that installed the boilers) come to change Drayton controller and SCR digistat for a hive,

Eventually there will be 4 zones all controlled from hive but for now as a test we decided to install one zone and see how well it works.

electrician left set up on app seemed to be working amber flashing lights etc. and hub connected however the thermostat will not connect it just says searching and does not stop, been through all the help with hive on the phone and they say it must be the way its wired please see attached pictures does this seem correct?

Black backplate is the old SCR
White back plate is the new Hive

As Far as I understand neutral and live from the SCR now go to neutral and live on hive and the number 02 goes from the sat on the scr to terminal 4 on hive and second wire from sat goes to the white terminal block

please note this is not permeant wiring it's a quick test before we change the whole system and re-wire Neatley.

your wiring for the Hive is completely wrong, your wiring for the Drayton would never have worked, were the two red wires on the Drayton always like that or have you connected both red wires into the same terminal when installing the Hive ?

The two red wires got moved over today please can you advise what is wrong.

The Drayton has been working fine for years

Thanks

one of the red wires on the drayton should go to 1 on the hive, the other to 3 on the hive, nothing in 4, L&N are OK

Thanks although maybe I should have said the hive is a dual hive but it’s not yet decided if we want to use the hot water side although the cables are in the same box if we do decide to

I understood that heating ON is port 4 and I’m told the S-plan heating dose not require an OFF

Thanks

Yes you might have thought to mention that, in that case yes that is why they are in 4

Why would you need anything in a (SAT) as you call it on an S plan ?

After looking again this morning it’s not in the sat in the scr the two cables on the old scr are in call one of these cables from the call goes to terminal 4 on the hive the other goes to the white block which I presume is to the boilers

Thanks

No you are getting all mixed up the wire in terminal 4 is the switched live out wire it tells the boiler or motorised valve to operate

Hi Ian,

so, my electrician has been back today, and we added the hot water to the receiver, hive has said this is why the receiver would not talk to the thermostat, however this still hasn't worked.

The terminal 4 on the hive is connected to the Call on the old SCR so as you say when my phone or the thermostat calls for heat it send power to this,

This must be all wired correctly because pressing the manual override on the hive receiver for the hot water or heating turns the boilers on as it should but i just can't seem to control this from my phone or thermostat!!

switch the hw and CH on and post a pic of what the hive shows when you do this

Please see attached pictures

When calling for heat on the app the boilers won’t turn on but when using the manual override the boilers turn on
