wiring downlighters

Fitting 2x50W downlighters in ceiling. Instructions say connect units in 'daisy chain' wiring one to the next. Should this be a complete loop circuit, starting and ending at the junction box or can it be a radial circuit, starting at the junction box and ending at the last light unit ?

Not in a loop.

A radial is how it needs to be wired in i.e. Wire to the first light then to the next
