Wish me luck!

[securespark]

Got up at 7.00am to start the dinner...me a veggie an' all!

Still, I relish the prospect of wrestling a big, greasy plump bird round the kitchen!

What will Mrs Secure say??

[Richardp]

Good luck securespark, have a good day, merry christmas to you are your's

[securespark]

Cheers, Mr P! And to same to you & yours. And heaps of good luck to everyone else attempting a mammoth feast today!

Three tips: don't get drunk, don't panic & chill out!

Just got the bird into the oven, and the unfortunate creature's insides into a pan to start the gravy.

Now I know how Mrs Secure feels when I strut around naked...

wrestling a big, greasy plump bird round the kitchen

What a un-christmas like way to describe Mrs Securespark

Shame on you

Cooked my meat last night, all the veg done now

Only the gravy to go

Then I will wake up the family

Who wears the trousers in your house ???????????

She probably won't be too happy at being referred to as this on Christmas Day

Anyway, hope all is successful

Edited: Hadn't realised Swelec beat me to it

Got 1 hour before the bird is ready, but not sure about the turkey..

Made gravies, got my nut loaf in the top oven, parsnips, sprouts, carrot broc. all prepared and ready to go. Champers in the fridge Sausages & Spuds to be provided by the m-i-l...

[securespark]

Oh, the politics!

I have veggies & meat-eaters, dairy allergies and a f-i-l who can't eat certain fruits...

[keyplayer]

Don't forget the bread sauce.

we're all normal

wrestling a big, greasy plump bird round the kitchen

you're supposed to kill, pluck and skin it first.

[securespark]

Well, all finished & a moderate success.

4 hours in the making, and 20 mins in the scoffing!

I don't want to do that again for at least another year!

[securespark]

Don't forget the bread sauce.

Yup!

One made with goat's and another with cow's.

Milk, that is!

[Richardp]

I tried to take securespark's advice about not getting drunk I failed

[securespark]

As long as you weren't trying to cook a huge meal at the same time, I forgive you.
