I was involved in that project a little via a client of mine. They put $2M of sponsorship in. Its got some pretty innovative tech on it. Its a shame they went bust, but I guess they were burning the cash quicker than fuel.

If it really was a goer that just needs a bit of money spent on it, they'd have found someone and not gone bust. The backers will have given up after lack of progress and broken promises. The people who know the project best have pulled out.
