Wonky Chimney

Hello,

We live in a 1920-30s detached bungalow and whilst in the loft, I noticed that the chimney stack is not straight.

I have put a couple of photos below. There doesn't seem to be any obvious cracks or anything.

Should it look like this?

It looks like it has shifted in the past and then repointed, or it has been rebuilt which looks more like it.

What does the chimney look like above the roof(outside)?

Its been corbelled over like that so as the stack either comes central or to the side of the ridge.

I took a couple of photos from outside of the chimney.

What do you mean by corbelled? Is this normal then?
