I am planning to install wooden flooring in two rooms. I've come across an apparently clever system in which T & G planks are stuck to an adhesive underlay. This would appear to make installation quicker, easier and less hassle than either glueing or secret nailing. Am I being over-optimistic? Has anyone tried this method, and if so, what did you think?

I think it's only suitable for floating floors, it's not a replacement for fixed (nailed) flooring.

If you go for this product, make sure you get the original Elastilon and not one of the copy-cats from DIY-sheds.
It is a good product, but for a first timer a bit awkward, especially the first few rows.

Chri5: it is a combination for fully bonding/installing floating for solid wood floors and some of the wood-engineered floors
