I paid for installing of engineered wood flooring in a tricky shaped area of 8m sq. However, the team failed to even use underlay to even out one significant area that was uneven. As a result, that area is very squeeky as the new engineered boards move when walking over them, as the boards sink under your weight.
Is there anything relatively non-intrusive (to the living environment) that can be done to help this situation? The new boards were glued and layed on 5mm vitrex underlay.
Also what would be the proper way to fix it? Can anyone recommend some intelligent floor fitters to fix this? ...since I don't trust the first team any more.
(The boards are from woodandbeyond.com - natural oak)
