I have a bay window which had pvc windows put in before my time unfortunately. Cill they used is that ****ty fibre board stuff with a thin bit of ply on. It's swelled due to damp which I've fixed.

Cill is 250mm deep and ill need 3m. Oak is very pricy.

I can get a 27mm beech work top for £75. It's a butcher block type with the staves all glued but ill be painting it. I prefer to use decent solid timber as it's an old house.

Any issues I'm not thinking about with this?

Thanks
