Hi all
About 2 years ago I installed a woodburner with a back boiler and connected it to my central heating. Initially it worked great the water and radiators were getting red hot (even hotter than on our condensing boiler) but after about a year it just seemed to stop heating the water in the back boiler, I've flushed the system and put descaler in a couple of times, it's getting the rads a bit hotter now but nowhere near like it was a year ago.
Could there still be scale in there or could there be something else wrong, is there a way I can check for scale?
I must confess when I first fitted it I didn't quite have things setup right and it boiled dry a few times, I'm assuming this could have caused a large buildup of scale perhaps.
If so does anyone have any advice on getting it out a bit more aggressively?
