I have recently installed a engineered wooden floor. There are several areas that are not sitting properly on the existing floor. Is there a way of perhaps injecting a eg silicone to level off the gaps. Dan
If you'd notice this during the installation (so always have a break and have a good look at the installed part you've done so far, even by carefully walking over it) you could have solved it by using extra same or thinner underlayment).
I've never seen any good results with injecting stuff afterwards. Seen 'mushrooms' sprouting all over the floor when someone had used expanding foam
guessing its a click floor you could unclick the floor pack out the hollows with hardboard and re-lay or cutting a hole in the underlay and using a blob of mastic may also work.
which means having to start unclicking where you finished. Imagine having to unclick the whole floor (with the possibility to damage the T&G) when the only place you'll need to correct is right at the other side
(Makes you wonder why we don't like the click-system)
