Wooden Garden Gate

I want to construct a couple of garden gates, one down each side of my house.

I need both gates to be 900mm wide, but my openings are 1400 and 1800.

I understand the posts need to be 100mm wide but that still leaves a small gap on one of the openings, and a bigger gap on the other opening.

I guess I should connect one post (100 x100) to the house, another post 900mm away and then another post against the fence, then infill the gap with something - with what?

Any help appreciated.

You could fit two gates to the 1800 gap with only one opening.
