Worcester 24i boiler pressure fluctuates

I have recently had to bleed the radiator in the bathroom after doing this and topping the boiler back up so the pressure was just over the 1 bar mark i have noticed that the pressure will change throughout the day.
Sometimes it will rise to about 2.5 bar and then i will check it later in the day and it had dropped as low as 0 bar?
Most of the time it will stay just over the 1 bar mark but am wondering why i am getting this change in pressure?

What is the expansion vessel and is it something i can check myself?

I have afairly new Worcester Greenstart 24i and the pressure bar is down to zero. I don't know how to repressurise it and fill it with water. Can anyone help?
