Hello there, I hope someone can give me a bit of an idea on what might be going on with my boiler (Worcester 24i).

We moved into a new house around six months ago and in all the time we have been here the pressure on the boiler has consistently dropped and I have repressurised to 1.5 bar almost every week.

In the past couple of days the overflow pipe which deposits water outside has been dripping / running almost constantly with warm water. This is even when the pressure gauge is showing around 1 bar only. (I think the auto pressure release is a 3 Bar one if that sounds normal?)

Does this sound like a dodgy pressure release valve or something? Would this explain the pressure dropping and also the new sysmptom of dripping?

Many thanks in advance

Steve

sounds like the expansion vessel is flat and the pressure relief valve is passing now. The valve seating can be cleaned and the expansion vessel recharges with a footpump. got to the FAQ's at the top of this forum for more details.
