Good Evening,

Having a few issues with the above boiler. Intermittently no CH or HW.

Pilot will spark and light then the flames fade and go out.

Been told by my gas engineer neighbor that it could be the air pressure switch.

I noticed tonight that if I disconnect the clear pipe off the APS it clicks and then upon refitting the pipe it clicks again followed by the boiler firing strongly and will continue to work for the next hour or so of testing.

My question is - would a faulty APS still allow the pilot to ignite and then go out?

Fitted new air pressure switch and still has the same issue. Worked ok after switch fitted but when left all day whilst at work came home to it doing the same thing.

Anyone help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

My advice Danny would be to go for a fixed price repair. Trying to diagnose an intermittent fauly will need an engineer visit.
