Hello, moved to a new flat, the boiler seems to be working ok, though I was told by the previous tenants that it might be quite old and they aren't sure when it was checked. The neighbour then has been helping me with some DIY work and switched off the hot water in the flat, after it was turned back on again the pressure indicator in the boiler is below 1 - not sure where it was before. The neighbour suggested to turn it higher or the water and the heating would stop working but I can't find the switch anywhere, it appears that it has been lost.
Can anyone suggest if there's anyway to replace it? And also how soon should this boiler be really checked?

Thank you very much.

As you are renting its questionable what DIY work involving water you should be doing.

My advice would be to get the Agent/Landlord to come to top it up.

Get it wrong and you could be having repair charges deducted from your deposit.

Have you been given a copy of a current Gas Safety Certificate?

find the cold water inlet to the boiler and follow it back and you will come across the filling loop or ask your neighbour his/hers will probably be the same if it is flats
